BRX City ten minute presentation – 3 tips for delivering your message

As some of you may know, I’m currently a member of the networking and business development group, BRX City.

Last week, I had the opportunity to give a ten-minute presentation to the group, around my area of expertise.

In preparation for my ten minutes, I spoke with presentation expert Dexter Moscow. Dexter advised me to find a way of addressing the everyday struggles, faced by my audience. I decided to send an email off to the group and soon had lots of ‘struggle’ suggestions from my fellow members.

I’ll be focusing on three of them here and a few others, in posts over the coming weeks.

Click the video below, to watch me address the following topics:

  • How to write the perfect 60 second pitch
  • How to write concise content
  • How to write expressively

I didn’t have time to answer every question in my ten minutes, so the following topics will be addressed in future posts:

  • Explaining a complex product, simply
  • Improving your vocabulary
  • Making dry subjects sound exciting

Thank you to the following people, who helped me create content for this presentation:

Jamie Denham

Mark Saunders

Mike Jennings

Nigel Green

Now I’d love to hear from you! Do you struggle to deliver your message, either in writing or in person? Let me know and if I can, I’ll share some advice in a post. Comment below, or connect with me on Twitter: @hannagilb
