I’m often asked to talk about what I do. Sometimes I’ll be pitching to a networking group and other times it’ll just come up in polite ‘by the coffee machine’ chat.
The conversation often goes like this…
“So Hanna, what is it you do?”
“I’m a copywriter. I help people to write things like website copy, blogs, email campaigns and white papers.”
(During this last bit, they’re nodding enthusiastically… right up to ‘white papers’.)
“Great… that sounds great. So… what exactly is a white paper?”
It’s usually a somewhat sheepish question. As though they feel they should know or they might know, but they aren’t sure.
