Whenever I put anything written out into the world, whilst wearing my ‘professional’ hat (newsletters, press releases, blog article, posters – you name it) I proofread it… thoroughly.
Proofing doesn’t mean ‘giving it a quick read through’. Nope. I have a formula and tick boxes (I like a tick box). If you’d like to learn how to ace proofing, click here.
BUT, for the blog that you’re reading right now, the ‘Personal blog’, I do not wear my professional hat. I wear my ‘make hay while the sun shines and dispense with the formalities hat’. I want writing pieces for my Personal blog to be fun and off-the-cuff and enjoyable. I don’t want it to take long. So sometimes I may not proof.
I will give these posts a once-over but I won’t be ticking boxes, so if you spot a typo here and there, forgive me. I will try hard to forgive myself as well. Not always easy for those of us who enjoy a tick box approach…
